In-Person at a Prometric Testing Center
Isograd partners with Prometric to provide in-person testing at thousands of locations worldwide. To take an exam at a Prometric test center, locate a test center nearest you. On test day, plan to arrive 30 minutes early and bring a valid, government-issued photo ID. For specific test day procedures, conditions, and technical requirements, please visit the Prometric website.

Online via a Remote Proctor
Take your exam from the comfort of your home or office at a time that works best for you. All you need is a computer with an internet connection and a working webcam and microphone. Preparing for a Certification Exam
Reaching a productive level or higher typically requires around 150 hours of training and practice depending on prior knowledge and learning format.
To prepare for Tosa exam, we recommend that learners:

Utilize the Tosa Blueprint to identify the skills and knowledge that are required to earn the certification at the expected proficiency level.

Take a Tosa practice assessment test to get familiar with the platform and question types, and identify skill gaps. It’s adaptive, takes approximately 40 minutes, and provides a detailed skill report.
Each Tosa certification includes two practice assessment tests to be used as a pre-course assessment and a post-course assessment.
The pre-assessment test helps determine the initial skill gaps to cover during the course.
The post-assessment test allows for measuring progression and for ensuring exam readiness.

There are no prerequisites, age requirements, or degree requirements to take a Tosa certification.

Tosa is listed on CareerOneStop — the U.S. Department of Labor’s credential database — linked to specific occupation codes, so candidates and employers can verify occupational alignment directly.
Yes. Tosa certifications are designed for all skill levels — there is no minimum score required to sit for the exam. The adaptive format adjusts question difficulty in real time based on each candidate’s responses, so the exam meets every learner where they are. Even candidates with limited experience will receive a meaningful score and level designation.
The free Tosa sample test is a great way to gauge your starting level before the certification exam.
Tosa issues two types of credential documents depending on the score achieved:
- Diploma — awarded to candidates who reach the Productive level (551 or above) on most certifications, or the Basic level (351 or above) on foundational digital skills certifications. Confirmed proficiency-based certification. Candidates at the Productive, Advanced, or Expert level also receive a Credly digital badge.
- Certificate of Completion — issued to all candidates who do not reach the diploma threshold. Confirms participation and documents the score achieved, regardless of level.
Every candidate who completes a Tosa exam receives a credential document — either a diploma or a certificate of completion. Every score is meaningful and independently verifiable.
