This page covers the technical requirements specific to the Isograd Learning Lab, including add-in and plugin setup for Microsoft 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud subjects, and links to all admin support resources.
General System Requirements
The Isograd Learning Lab runs in the browser and shares the same baseline system, browser, and network requirements as the Tosa testing environment. Please refer to the Tosa Testing — Technical Requirements page for:
- Supported operating systems (Windows 10+, macOS 11+, Chrome OS 110+)
- Supported browsers (Chrome 110+, Firefox 110+)
- Minimum bandwidth (1 Mbps per student)
- Domain whitelisting (including
*.isograd.com,tosa.org,googleapis.com,gstatic.com)
Microsoft 365 Add-in
Isograd Learning Lab courses for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint require the Isograd Microsoft 365 Add-in to be installed on the student's device. This add-in enables in-application lessons and tasks to run directly inside the Microsoft 365 application.

Mac users: Microsoft Office desktop versions are not supported on macOS for Isograd Learning Lab courses. Mac users must access courses through the Microsoft 365 web app at microsoft365.com.
Add-in Setup — Individual Users
- Install via Microsoft AppSource or directly within a Microsoft 365 application (Insert > Add-ins > search "Isograd")

Add-in Deployment — Bulk / Admin
- Deploy org-wide via Microsoft 365 Admin Center > Settings > Integrated Apps — search for "Isograd" in AppSource. No MSI or per-device installer required. The add-in propagates to assigned users within 24–48 hours.

Adobe Creative Cloud Plugin
Isograd Learning Lab courses for Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro require the Isograd Adobe Plugin to be installed on the student's device. The plugin enables in-application lessons and tasks to run directly inside the Adobe desktop application.
The Adobe web app does not support third-party plugins. The desktop application is required for all Isograd Learning Lab Adobe courses — there is no web app alternative.

The Isograd Adobe plugin is not compatible with Chrome OS. Adobe Creative Cloud subjects in the Isograd Learning Lab require a Windows or macOS device.
Plugin Setup — Individual Users

https://learning-resources.isograd.com/download/adobe/Isograd.zxpand extract it to your local Adobe CEP extensions folder.
To verify the plugin is installed, open the desired Adobe app, go to Window > Extensions (or Extensions (Legacy)) and select Isograd.
Plugin Deployment — Bulk / Admin
- Create a Managed Package in the Adobe Admin Console (Packages > Create Package > Managed Package), include the Isograd plugin from the Marketplace tab, and deploy via SCCM, Intune, or any standard deployment tool.
- Separate packages must be created per platform (Windows 64-bit, Windows ARM, macOS Intel, macOS Apple Silicon/Universal).

Mac Users — Apple Silicon (M1 and Later)
Mac devices with Apple Silicon chips (M1 and up) require Rosetta to be installed and enabled in the Adobe application before the Isograd plugin will function correctly.
Step 1 — Install or Update Rosetta:
- Open Terminal and run:
softwareupdate --install-rosetta— typeaand press Enter to confirm.
Step 2 — Enable Rosetta in Adobe applications:
- In Finder, go to Applications and locate the Adobe app
- Right-click and select Get Info
- Check the box labeled "Open using Rosetta" and close the Info window

Google Workspace — Sharing Permissions
For Learning Lab courses based on Google Suite, file sharing with isograd.com must be enabled in your Google Admin Console. Follow the same configuration steps described in the Tosa Testing — Technical Requirements page (Google Workspace Permissions section).
