Five Tosa digital skills certifications are recognized on Arizona's CTE Industry Credentials & Community College Certificates list, giving Arizona CTE programs an ADE-aligned way to offer state-recognized, industry-valued digital credentials eligible for Perkins V, CTED funding, and the A–F College and Career Readiness Index.
Download the 2025–26 AZ CTE Industry Credentials List (Excel) +"Industry-recognized credentials play a vital role in Arizona's Career and Technical Education system. They serve multiple critical functions: they validate career readiness by providing students with tangible proof of their skills; align education with workforce needs so instruction stays aligned with current labor market demands; strengthen funding accountability under Arizona's Perkins V State Plan and CTED funding requirements; support school performance metrics through the College and Career Readiness Index; and facilitate college and career transitions to help bridge the gap between high school, postsecondary education, and the workforce."
— Arizona Department of Education, Career and Technical Education
On Arizona's list, industry credentials strengthen funding accountability under the state's Perkins V State Plan and CTED funding requirements, and support school performance through the A–F College and Career Readiness Index — while helping students bridge the gap between high school, postsecondary education, and the workforce.
Why Industry-Recognized Credentials Matter in Arizona CTE +
Arizona's CTE Industry Credentials are available to high school students in public, charter, and CTED programs.
| Category | Arizona Eligibility |
|---|---|
| School Types | Arizona public high schools and alternative education programs. Career Technical Education Districts (CTEDs) — regional consortia delivering CTE courses to students from multiple school districts. Charter schools operating CTE pathways. |
| Grade Levels | Grades 9–12 (high school and eligible alternative programs). |
Arizona does not use a formal tier system for industry credentials. All credentials on the 2025–26 ADE list carry equal standing with respect to CTED funding eligibility, Perkins V accountability, and the A–F College and Career Readiness Index. However, the ADE list distinguishes two incentive categories:
| Category | Description |
|---|---|
| A–F Approved | Credential counts toward the College and Career Readiness Index (A–F School Accountability System), contributing 0.5–1.0 points toward the school's score. All 5 approved Tosa certifications on the 25–26 list are A–F Approved. |
| AZ Industry Incentive Fund | A state incentive fund for select high-value credentials. |
The 5 Tosa certifications below are confirmed on the Arizona CTE Industry Credentials list. Note: Tosa certifications appear on the list under the credential family or application name rather than the Tosa brand.

|---|---|
| Perkins V – Basic Grant | Federal CTE funding under the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (Perkins V), available to all eligible CTE programs. May be used for Tosa certification exam purchases, curriculum, and related program costs. Administered through ADE. |
